Two co-founders and native Wolof teachers
Khady
Co-founder of Wolof School
Hi 😊 I’m Khady. I grew up with Wolof all around me, phrases at home, everyday expressions said on autopilot, conversations that move fast… and for a long time, I could understand a lot without really feeling confident enough to answer back.
Wolof School started from a simple idea: learning Wolof shouldn’t feel like a scavenger hunt across ten apps, a few PDFs, and random videos with no order. What actually helps is a clear path, regular practice, and real feedback when you make mistakes (because you will at first 😅).
So we built a learning experience focused on real-life use: speak, listen, react, repeat, and do it again, but with structure so you never feel lost. Live classes are where you practise speaking and get corrected in the moment. The platform keeps you progressing between sessions with pronunciation work, practical vocabulary, short exercises, and guided review, the kind of practice that turns “I sort of get it” into “I can reply.”
Benjamin
Co-founder of Wolof School
Hey! I’m Benjamin 👋
If Wolof School feels smooth, loads quickly, and stays easy to use, that’s basically my playground.
I’m not the one writing the lessons or teaching the live Wolof classes, my work is mostly behind the scenes. I build and maintain the platform day to day: the member area, the level paths, the replays, ongoing improvements, the small tweaks that make learning feel effortless… and the bigger projects when we roll out new features.
